Christmas opening hours

Our branches will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, and Friday, December 26, 2025, during the first week of the Christmas holidays. Branches with Saturday opening hours will be open on Saturday, December 27, 2025, and the Central Library will also be open on Sunday, December 28, 2025. During the second week of Christmas, branches will be closed on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Exceptions and additional information

• The Hloubětín, and Velký mlýn, branches will be closed from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026. During this period, bookmobiles will also not be operating.
• The Central Library will be open on Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, 2025, and will operate according to the Christmas schedule on other days.
• Kiosks will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2025, and January 1, 2026, and will be open on other days according to the opening hours of the respective shopping center. On December 24, 2025, telephone support will not be available.
• During the Christmas closure, you can return books using the kiosks, as well as the return boxes at the Jezerka, Lužiny, Opatov, and Petřiny.
