The Central Library building will be the highlight of the 11th Signal Festival, lighting up with a captivating light show from 12 to 15 October 2023.

Robotic lights and artificial intelligence

Hungarian artist András László Nagy is realising his project Luminary Glyphs on the facade of a historic building, using artificial intelligence and robotic lights. László's light performances seek an innovative visual language in the field of generative and interactive media. His style is unique, based on abstract minimalist elements.

The projection on the building of the Central Library will run from Thursday 12 October to Sunday 15 October 2023. How to get there? By metro A, trams 17 and 18; bus 207 and 194.

Signal Festival

Signal Festival is entering its second decade. It will feature the work of Jan Kalab, a children's exhibition and the largest gallery zone in its history. The visual identity of the eleventh edition was created by artificial intelligence.

The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, 12 October at 19:00 on Karlínské náměstí. However, its accompanying programme will start on Monday 9 October. It will offer discussion panels Signal Talks, a group exhibition ELEKTROSALON: From the Rave to the Gallery and a series of audiovisual performances VEKTROSKOP in St. Nicholas Church on Old Town Square.

Visitors will be able to view a total of 20 installations, thirteen of which will be free of charge. There are two types on sale, namely Signal Plus, which allows access to the gallery zone throughout the festival, and Signal VIP for those who want to experience the festival in a unique intimate atmosphere, without queues and waiting, with a guided tour and a welcome drink.
